This is a new municipal tap water pipeline project in the suburbs of Bangkok, Thailand. Internally and externally anti-corrosive plastic-coated steel pipes were purchased. The local area has a hot, rainy tropical climate with humid underground conditions and greatly fluctuating soil acidity. International anti-corrosion standards are implemented, and SGS test reports are required.

Project Challenges
The perennial high temperature and humidity in tropical regions set high requirements on the coating’s resistance to hygrothermal aging.
Steel pipes will experience jolting during long-distance ocean shipping, so the coating must possess excellent impact resistance.
The overseas client recognizes only authoritative third-party inspection documents.
