Project Background: A municipal water supply project in Thailand, located in a tropical monsoon climate zone, faces harsh environmental challenges such as high temperature, high humidity, and seasonal seawater intrusion. The original traditional water storage and pipeline coating materials showed signs of aging, peeling, and corrosion after only 2 years of use, leading to turbid water quality and potential leakage hazards, which failed to meet Thailand's drinking water safety standards. The project party urgently needed a high-performance anti-corrosion epoxy powder to solve the corrosion problem and ensure the safe and stable operation of the water supply system.
Cooperation Content: After multiple rounds of screening and strict performance testing, the project party finally selected Hebei Jiachi's food-grade anti-corrosion epoxy powder. In response to the special needs of the project, Jiachi provided a customized solution: optimizing the coating formula to enhance UV resistance, moisture resistance, and salt corrosion resistance, making it fully adaptable to the local tropical monsoon climate; the product has passed NSF and WRAS internationally authoritative drinking water certifications, ensuring no pollution and no peculiar smell, and completely eliminating the risk of secondary water pollution caused by coating corrosion. A total of 80 tons of Jiachi's fusion-bonded epoxy powder was used in the project, mainly for the anti-corrosion coating of water storage tanks and water supply pipelines.
Project Effect: Since the project was put into use, Jiachi's epoxy powder coating has operated stably for more than 1 year. The coating is dense and uniform, with no peeling, cracking, or corrosion. The water quality indicators fully meet Thailand's drinking water safety standards. The service life of the water supply pipeline is expected to be extended to 30 years, and the full-life cycle maintenance cost is reduced by more than 45% compared with traditional materials. The project party highly recognized Jiachi's product quality and customized services, signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement, and became Jiachi's core partner in the field of drinking water in Southeast Asia.
