Project Background: The Peruvian San Nicolas New Port EPC project, undertaken by China Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., is an important infrastructure project in Peru. The port's oil and gas transmission pipelines and marine pile foundations need to withstand harsh marine environments such as high salt spray, high humidity, and seawater erosion, which puts extremely high requirements on the anti-corrosion performance and durability of epoxy powder. The project party required the coating to have super anti-corrosion performance and meet the ISO C5 anti-corrosion grade standard to ensure the long-term stable operation of port facilities.
Cooperation Content: Relying on mature high-performance epoxy powder technology and rich overseas project experience, Hebei Jiachi successfully won the bid for the supply of anti-corrosion materials for the project. The company provided an upgraded high-performance fusion-bonded epoxy powder, which was independently developed by optimizing the zinc content ratio and adopting advanced international production technology. It has super anti-corrosion performance, with salt spray resistance of more than 1500 hours and adhesion reaching Grade 0 (cross-cut test), which can effectively resist marine corrosion and sediment scouring. Jiachi also sent a professional technical team to the project site to provide on-site guidance on spraying construction, ensuring that the construction quality meets the project requirements. The total supply volume of the project reached 120 tons, covering the anti-corrosion projects of port oil and gas pipelines and marine pile foundations.
Project Effect: The project was successfully completed and put into use. After 8 months of operation, Jiachi's epoxy powder coating still maintained good integrity, with no signs of corrosion, peeling, or cracking, effectively protecting port pipelines and pile foundations from marine environment erosion.
