This rural drinking water safety pipeline upgrading project in Cangzhou adopts large-diameter TPEP anti-corrosion steel pipes ranging from DN300 to DN1600, with a total pipeline length of 26 km. The local soil features high salinity and alkalinity, and groundwater contains abundant minerals. Strict requirements are imposed on inner anti-corrosion performance and sanitary standard of pipelines.
Product Adopted
Jiachi Food-grade Fusion Bonded Epoxy Powder (for internal spraying)
Project Challenges
Saline-alkali soil and highly mineralized groundwater tend to trigger internal pipe corrosion and scaling;
As pipelines for domestic drinking water, the coating must comply with drinking water sanitary standards;
Large temperature fluctuation on construction site requires the coating to feature excellent bending resistance and strong adhesion.
Jiachi Solution
Customized drinking-water-grade epoxy powder is adopted for one-step electrostatic spraying. The dense and smooth coating inhibits limescale accumulation. It delivers outstanding cathodic disbondment resistance and strong tolerance to saline-alkali medium. The product has passed drinking water sanitary tests.
Project Achievements
The whole pipeline successfully passed acceptance inspection by water authority. After commissioning, no internal rust or microbial breeding occurs inside pipes, and water transmission loss is reduced. The designed service life reaches 50 years, significantly cutting later maintenance and replacement costs.
