Jiachi Food-Grade Epoxy Powder Safeguards Cangzhou County Urban & Rural Water Supply Renovation Livelihood Project

Recently, the upgrading project of rural drinking water safety pipeline network in Cangzhou County has successfully passed the overall completion acceptance. Large-diameter TPEP anti-corrosion steel pipes ranging from DN300 to DN1600 are laid throughout the project, with a total length of 26 kilometers. The inner wall of pipelines adopts Jiachi food-grade fusion bonded epoxy powder for electrostatic spraying protection, building a solid anti-corrosion barrier for local residents’ drinking water safety.

The project site features high soil salinity and alkalinity, and the groundwater is rich in minerals. The long-term operating environment tends to cause internal corrosion and scaling of pipelines. As pipelines for domestic drinking water transmission, the inner coating is required to resist saline-alkali corrosion for a long term and meet strict sanitary standards for water-related products. In addition, the construction site suffers wide temperature fluctuations between day and night, bringing multiple challenges to the coating’s adhesion and bending resistance.

In response to the project working conditions, Jiachi customized special epoxy powder for drinking water. It can form coating in one-step electrostatic spraying. The compact and smooth coating effectively inhibits limescale accumulation. The product boasts excellent cathodic disbondment resistance to withstand long-term erosion by saline-alkali media and has passed relevant sanitary tests for drinking water facilities.

After the pipeline network is put into operation, no internal rust or microbial breeding will occur inside pipes, effectively reducing water transmission loss. The designed service life of pipelines can reach 50 years. The implementation of this project fully verifies the stable performance of Jiachi food-grade FBE powder in large-diameter municipal water supply pipelines, and continuously facilitates the construction of urban and rural drinking water infrastructure in North China.
